Instagram Marketing Trends in 2018 & Beyond

While Instagram is taking over the world by storm it’s time for you to cash into that trend and if you don’t know how to do that you will know it by the time you’ve reached the end of this post so without further ado:

You got to spend money to make money

Same like Facebook is doing everything to limit the organic reach to the followers that you worked so hard for to earn Instagram is following in the footsteps of its parent company and that shouldn’t come as a surprise to you. You either pay or you’d be left out, simple as that.

Thankfully you can manage everything from your Facebook ad management console so if you are already familiar with Facebook ads there’s not much a learning curve to be had. Simply create some ads, perform your A-B split tests and before you know it you start to make money. Nothing is free in this world so be prepared for this if you still rely on free tactics to promote your business.

Shopping on Instagram made easy

Instagram has been working hard on their new shopping feature that doesn’t require users to leave the platform, photos will have an extra feature in the shape of a buy now button so if you run a webshop it’s time to integrate it into Instagram. It’s not difficult to do at all, as a matter of fact, it’s dead easy and they’ve obviously done that for a purpose as the more people stay on Instagram the more money they are able to make.

When you think of it it makes a whole lot of sense with so many fashionists being active on Instagram, showcasing their latest designs and what not so why wouldn’t Instagram make it a little easier for its users to directly purchase whatever they see.

Live streaming is hotter then stills

If you are a frequent user of Facebook you must have seen these story type of posts when you chat with people in Messenger. I was looking at Facebook where I could create this but it turns out it’s an Instagram integration into Messenger. So even I, a non-Instagram user is now being overloaded with stories from my friends in Messenger so you can imagine how easy it is to reach people that don’t even use Instagram. Obviously, it’s a little difficult to scale but I’m pretty sure Facebook won’t stop promoting this feature so although it only shows in Messenger right now it’s probably going to be plastered all over Facebook in the not so distant future.
